Virtual Community School
The Portage County Educational Service Center has entered into an educational partnership with the Virtual Community School of Ohio. This unique partnership with VCS of Ohio gives us the opportunity to provide a quality on-line K-12 education for any student throughout Portage County and beyond. Portage County Educational Service Center will work with the schools, parents, and students in explaining the benefits of the program. As an alternative to the traditional school setting, PCESC and VCSOhio is the perfect choice for students who can't attend school for physical, health, personal or philosophical reasons. This on-line program is ideal for home schooled students, students who are parents, and students with physical and /or emotional limitations that make learning from home a necessity. Each student will have access to the curriculum that is aligned with the Ohio Content Standards by utilizing the free computer, printer, scanner and Internet service that comes with enrollment into the program.
Our goal at PCESC is to provide opportunities for our students to be successful not only in school but also in life. We believe that this partnership can provide that opportunity for those looking for an alternative way to learn.
