Message from the Superintendent
The Portage County Educational Service Center is an organization that is proud of its past, daily improvements, and confident of its future.
For over nine decades the Portage County Educational Service Center has taken a serious and committed position of providing high quality services to school districts in assisting with the awesome task and responsibility of teaching Portage County children.
While the methods, programs and statutory responsibilities of the Center has changed over the years, the Core Values and Mission have not changed, that is, being of service to the districts in preparing productive and successful citizens.
The success of the Portage County Educational Service Center is directly attributed to the dedicated and talented administrators, teachers, therapists, educational assistants and support personnel of the Center. Further, the Center’s Governing Board is made up of five professional, caring, and dedicated individuals who work as a team to constantly improve and forward the mission of the Center.
I want to also recognize our customers, the school districts for their continued support of the Portage County Educational Service Center. Without the confidence and support of our six Local, five City, one Exempted Village and one Career Center, we simply would not exist. Thank you for your loyalty to the Portage County Educational Service Center.
The Portage County Educational Service Center is a great place to be because of collaboration, dedication, loyalty and a “can do” spirit!
